London council announces successful bio-fuel station installation
Camden Council and commercial liquid biomethane producer Gasrec have announced the successful installation of the first such vehicle refuelling station in Britain.
The station has been established at the council's own depot on York way UC and the fuel is being used in the authority's own cleaning vans.
Commenting on the news, Camden Council leader Keith Moffett said: "We are absolutely committed to playing our part in tackling climate change here in Camden," adding that the station showed that the borough is at the "forefront" of the move to make the London authority greener.
Those thinking of renting in the borough may be pleased that the area in which they live is playing its part in combating climate change.
Earlier this week the council reported that its installation of solar panels at the York Way depot has now save one tonne in emissions.
