House prices in London predicted to rise by 2010
The cost of buying a house in London is expected to become more expensive towards the end of 2009, one Estate Agents based in the capital has stated.
According to SW19, there will be increased interest in the property market next year, as there are general expectations that the market will pick up in 2010.
Luke Bennett, founder and managing director at SW19, said he is forecasting house values to start rising during 2009 - slightly ahead of other predictions.
"The market slowdown has been a bit longer than people thought previously. Towards the end of next year we will start to see prices creep up a little bit," he stated.
Mr Bennett added that next year is going to be busy for the company.
Meanwhile, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors has suggested that those people who would ordinarily be buying a property in London have opted to rent while they wait to see how the housing market develops.
