Havering residents gear up for Hornchurch Festival of Arts & Heritage
Residents living in property to rent in the London borough of Havering are gearing up for the Hornchurch Festival of Arts & Heritage, which is due to begin May 28th.
The event will kick-off with the popular Mini Open House, which allows people living in the area to explore some of the most historic buildings throughout Havering.
One of the highlights of the festival, which is set to run until July 9th, is the Westminster Philharmonic Orchestra's performance at the Langton's Summer Concert.
Shakespeare in the Garden, the annual Havering Mela and a Tea Dance Concert are among the other events taking place in the borough.
Andrew Curtin, cabinet member for culture, towns and communities, said 2011 is a special year for the festival as Hornchurch's first library was opened 75 years ago this year.
"The arts, a sense of history and an enjoyment of nature are central to a better future for all," he added.
Recently, residents living in property to rent in the London borough of Havering benefited from a new pedestrian crossing being installed at North Street, in Hornchurch.
