Finalising a rental agreement
There are a number of processes involved in finding property to rent in London or flats to rent anywhere in the UK, but the final actions can be some of the most important.
Marc Lockley, the Guardian's so-called Negotiator and financial expert, has revealed that there are some things tenants should do on moving day to avoid any "unnecessary differences of opinion" when deposits need to be reclaimed at the end of a tenancy.
Viewing the property on the first day of a contract to ensure any potential problems are noted from the outset is vital, he explained, before suggesting that it is best to undertake these checks with a Letting Agent or landlord present.
"Before you sign on the dotted line check that you and the landlord agree over the inventory and the state of the property, and read your agreement carefully," Mr Lockley added.
Whether tenants are looking for property to rent in Eltham, Greenwich or flats to rent in Tottenham, Haringey the same processes should apply.
