Cricket legend set for London literature festival appearance
Cricket and literature lovers living in apartments to rent in Ilford can see a sporting legend later this month.
Imran Khan will be at the Town Hall on Thursday September 22nd as part of the first ever East London Libraries Festival.
He will be talking about his new book Pakistan : A Personal History, which follows his childhood in Lahore , marriage to Jemima Goldsmith and amazing career as a professional cricketer.
The festival runs from September 16th to October 14th and takes place in libraries across six London boroughs.
More than 20 events have been lined up in Redbridge for this year's festival, including talks by bestselling author Julie Myerson and popular women's fiction writer Josephine Cox.
There is also a chance to see poet Daljit Nagra at Wanstead Library on Friday September 23rd.
The inaugural East London Libraries Festival sees Redbridge, Enfield , Havering, Hackney, Newham and Waltham Forest join forces to organise a range of talks, author panels and poetry readings.
Redbridge residents were recently invited to get involved in parkour during a set of free demonstration sessions.
