Chance to see plans for Wandsworth
Anyone who is considering moving into flats to rent in Wandsworth has the opportunity to check out what the future holds for the South London borough over the course of the week.
During the next few days, the New London Architecture galleries will be exhibiting key stakeholders' visions for the regeneration of the area.
There are seven major investment sites totalling more than £1 billion, which according to Wandsworth Council "are transforming Wandsworth Town on a scale rarely seen in London".
Changes to public squares, jobs, footpaths, bars, shops, cycle paths, commercial spaces and property are all part of plans.
Wandsworth's regeneration spokesman James Cousins said: "The town centre represents a huge opportunity for investors. More than £1 billion is pouring into the area and the council is securing major contributions for vital environmental improvements."
People looking for property to rent in Wandsworth were also reminded by the local authority that the area has low council tax rates, which could be a deciding factor in choosing a home for many young professionals concerned about the financial climate.
