Brogan positive about private rented sector
Elizabeth Brogan, senior policy officer at the National Landlords Association (NLA), has issued a positive statement about the current status of the private rented sector.
She will leave her post tomorrow after five years of work at the organisation, but is happy with what she has achieved in that time.
Tenants of property to rent in Wandsworth or flats to rent in Croydon may have been among those people who have indirectly benefited from Ms Brogan's employment with the NLA.
"I feel the work I have done has made a genuine contribution to improving the reputation of the sector - an improvement which was ultimately demonstrated in the outcome of the Rugg review," she explained.
Fire safety issues and topics related to homelessness and energy efficiency are some of the areas the senior policy officer has had to deal with.
Ms Brogan will leave the NLA as the government looks to develop the private rented sector even further and tries to make it a more important part of the overall housing industry.
