There are simple ways for tenants to go green
Britons should not be dissuaded from going green due to the potential costs involved, one sector commentator has claimed.
Indeed, Gordon Miller, founder of whatgreenhome.com, said that rather than having to dig deep in order to save money on utility bills, people can simply take steps such as switching off any electrical equipment that they usually leave on standby.
Furthermore, he added that fitting draught excluders to doors and windows and only boiling the amount of water needed, rather than filling the kettle to the top, could all add up to money saved on household bills.
Such advice may be valuable for Britons looking for flats to rent in Wandsworth who are concerned about the burden that rising utility costs could pose.
Lord Adair Turner, chairman of the Committee on Climate Change, recently stated that a "whole house approach" to energy efficiency needed to be adopted, but Mr Miller said this may be putting "the cart before the horse".
