TfL offers boost to London coach travellers
Londoners from outer boroughs travelling into the centre of the capital are set to benefit as a result of new services for coach drivers, it has been stated.
According to Transport for London (TFL), many people use such vehicles to visit attractions and enjoy cultural life.
And it has created a new helpline to provide advice for drivers and operators in order to allow residents of outer boroughs to maximise their time, with details on parking - including location, facilities and prices - to be provided.
David Brown, managing director of surface transport at TFL, remarked: "We recognise the valuable contribution coaches make to London's economy and are keen to further improve facilities for coaches in the capital."
The body has also launched a new map for coach drivers, with a theme of royalty meaning it includes details about facilities near attractions such as Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London.
Mr Brown recently revealed that a new fleet of hybrid buses is being introduced, benefiting the environment by cutting carbon dioxide output by 40 per cent.
