Tenants staying longer in rented property
Tenants are staying in private rental homes for longer in the UK, according to one Letting Agent.
Robert Jordan, chairman of Jordan's, has suggested that a churning of the rental market has dried up as a result, Rentman reports.
Mr Jordan also called for less restrictive legislation and incentives to help those who may be put off entering the property market.
"They need incentives which will help the one million homeless in this country find a decent home to live in," he added.
However, as reported earlier this month, private investors appear to be showing interest in a government scheme to boost the rental sector and create a significant increase in housing stock available for letting in this country.
Furthermore, the same website cited recent figures from uPad that appear to confirm improving conditions in the rental sector over recent months.
News that more tenants are staying in rented accommodation for longer, combined with plans to build more homes ready to be let, could attract many more people to look for property to rent in the London borough of Bromley, or elsewhere in the UK.
