Tenants of flats to rent in Southwark have chance to win
People living in property to rent in Southwark are among those eligible to win a prize presented by the borough's council.
Every month, five people who live in the area will be given £200 simply for recycling all of their waste in the proper manner.
This reward may be enough to convince people to sign a tenancy agreement on flats to rent in Southwark - in places such as Borough, Bermondsey or the central hub that is London Bridge.
To be in with a chance of winning, residents need to ensure they put the correct items in their weekly recycling collection boxes or deliver recyclable materials to one of Southwark's 500-plus recycling centres themselves.
Some lucky people were given their cash prizes at the end of last month.
Simon Bussell, managing director of Veolia Environmental Services in Southwark, said: "Congratulations to the first group of winners. Recycling in Southwark is easier than ever so we hope as many residents as possible will start recycling."
