Ten London boroughs 'harmonise regeneration plans'
A meeting occurred this week to inaugurate one of London's biggest regeneration projects, which will encompass homebuilding projects in as many as ten London boroughs.
Property news site 24dash.com reported that the London Major Projects Group came together to harmonise plans for the capital's 18 largest regeneration projects, with the ambitious schemes now set to take off.
Many areas of London are constantly being targeted for concerted plans to renovate the housing stock and to spruce up public areas, with the neighbourhoods comprised within the London Major Projects Group now set to attract greater buyer and rental interest.
Neighbourhoods in the ten council areas taking part are likely to benefit, with Barking & Dagenham, Barnet; Brent, Greenwich, Hackney, Islington, Lewisham, Newham, Southwark and Tower Hamlets the boroughs in question.
Neighbourhoods like Hackney's Woodberry Down are already experiencing a change of image thanks to the plans, which envisage a total of 90,000 new London homes.
The site claimed that Woodberry Down had already received its planning permission, with decant and demolition of older buildings already under way.
