Shoreditch consultancy firm wins top prize
Individuals who are considering looking for property to rent in Shoreditch could find that over the time spent living there, the area undergoes some positive changes.
Online resource Regen.net has revealed that Shoreditch-based not-for-profit consultancy Renaisi has taken the title of Regeneration Consultancy of the Year 2009 for a number of projects, including its work with the London borough of Hackney.
During this partnership, the organisation oversaw Invest in Hackney, which laid the groundwork for work-training placements in ten companies in the area and over the past three years, approximately 800 jobs have been sustained or created in the borough through the scheme.
The online publication also noted that Renaisi is involved with the 2012 London Olympics, which it classes as the country's most significant regeneration project.
It added: "The consultancy has been especially successful in its work with the London borough of Waltham Forest's local strategic partnership and its sustainable community strategies."
The 2012 Legacy Strategy Waltham Forest project hopes to make sure that the physical, economic, social and environment benefits of the Games will have a lasting impact on the wellbeing of businesses and communities in the area.
