Residents of property in Camden 'benefiting from anti-social behaviour drop'
People who live in property in Camden are enjoying a fall in anti-social street behaviour, it has been claimed.
Camden Council reported that its Safer Streets Team (SST) is getting more people help with problems such as drug and alcohol addiction and said that it had brought about one of the biggest decreases in rough sleeping across England and Wales.
People looking for flats to rent in Camden may be interested to hear that the council reports a decline in anti-social behaviour such as prostitution and use of drugs on streets as well.
SST will now see another year of being run by the Crime Reduction Initiative.
While there were more than 50 people sleeping on the streets in 2000, the figure is now below 10.
Recently, a new campaign to target women's safety was unveiled in London.
The Way Forward involves activities such as addressing trafficking and improving rape crisis centres.
