Renovation advice for Londoners
Britons looking for property to rent in Wandsworth and other parts of London are likely to be more attracted by smart, contemporary interiors, rather than overly fussy decoration, it has been advised.
Using research released by Moneyextra.com for Your Money, the Mirror reports that when it comes to what Britons are looking for in a home, differences are noted from region to region.
Indeed, in London, one of the biggest draws to a property among potential house buyers and tenants is outdoor space such as a garden.
Indeed, a quarter of people living in the city desire a garden.
Furthermore, landlords may wish to consider building an extension or carrying out a loft or basement conversion in the property they rent out in the city.
"Increasing square footage is king when it comes to property value in London," the Mirror asserts.
Such a renovation project could see landlords successfully attracting new tenants for their property.
Meanwhile, Sainsbury's Home Insurance recently advised that boosting home security is also an advisable renovation job as the recession rumbles on.
