New shuttle service for Newham
People living in the Stratford area of Newham are set to benefit from a new shuttle bus service.
Rail minister Andrew Adonis announced that the new, free service is intended to link high speed rail services.
It is to begin when Southeastern's rail service between Kent and St Pancras opens in December next year.
That train will stop at the new Stratford International Station and the shuttle bus will allow travellers to transfer to the existing station without having to continue into Central London.
Mr Adonis remarked: "The new shuttle bus service will benefit all passengers, be they local people using the high speed rail service or commuters coming in from Kent to work in the capital."
Last week Transport for London announced that two months of engineering work had been completed on the London Overground, with more plans in place to make improvements over the next two years.
