New appointees 'to deliver transport improvements'
A series of new appointments to the Transport for London Board have been announced by London mayor Boris Johnson.
Mr Johnson, who chairs the board, has revealed that Daniel Moylan will join Christopher Garnett as one of two deputy chairs.
In two further appointments, Claudia Arney joins the board and Peter Anderson will now chair the finance committee.
Mr Johnson commented: "It will be a great benefit to London to have two such capable people in Daniel Moylan and Christopher Garnett as deputy chairs."
This would help Peter Hendy and himself in the task of providing large-scale improvements to the capital's transport system, he added.
Last week Mr Johnson appointed private equity investor David Gregson to the Legacy Board of Advisors for the London Olympics.
The mayor said that his main aim for the Olympic Park in Stratford is that should become a "landmark district of 21st century London".
