Londoners prefer Zone 2, says survey
A survey on living in London found that the most popular part of London to live in would be zone 2.
This area of the capital would be the best place on the Tube network to live in terms of balancing space and time, according to 46 per cent of those surveyed by findaproperty.com.
In contrast, the majority of those living in zone 1 felt they lacked space and those living in outer districts had less time as their commute to work was longer.
Zone 2 includes Tube Stations such as West Brompton, Camden Town and Bermondsey.
However, while this zone provided the best combination of both worlds, another finding was that only eight per cent thought the Tube provides a good service, even though 42 per cent use it.
Those looking for property to rent in Hackney are less likely to use the Tube to go to work in Central London as there are no underground stations in this borough, although it will soon be linked to the new London Overground network via stations such as Haggerston and Dalton Kingsland.
