Literature festival 'appeals to all ages'
Residents of flats to rent in Clapham are being offered the chance to attend a literature festival next month.
Lambeth Council has announced that the Lambeth Readers and Writers Festival will see events taking place throughout the borough in May.
Organised by the library service, the festival is now in its sixth year and a number of authors are scheduled to appear.
Cabinet member for culture and communities at Lambeth Council Rachel Heywood said that the event is going from "strength to strength" and is set to appeal to a variety of tastes and ages.
"There will be talks and discussions with a wide range of authors - from the well-known to the up and coming - and it's all free of charge," she added.
Children in Lambeth were recently involved in a competition to create their own robot, with the IBM Robo-Challenge being held at eight primary schools.
