Kensington and Chelsea to have new cultural corner
A new scheme is being planned that residents of property to rent in Kensington and Chelsea will be able to benefit from.
Proposals have been made to make the royal borough's Exhibition Road "the most accessible cultural quarter in the world".
It will involve developing an area where cars and other traffic have to look out for partially-sighted and blind people, instead of the other way round.
Andrew Lamont has this week been appointed as the council's access champion for the initiative.
Commenting on the plans, he said: "The details can make or break this scheme. We must find solutions that consider equally wheelchair users and the frail elderly and the other disabled groups too."
This is one of a number of reasons people may choose property to rent in Kensington and Chelsea. Its green areas, shopping facilities and hosting of Premier League football may also play a factor in the decision.
