Guidance offered for London small business owners
Londoners operating small businesses have been offered advice in order to ensure their taxes are in order.
According to HM Revenue & Customs, there are currently around 753,000 small or medium-sized firms in the Greater London area.
And the body has launched new videos online, providing guidance about setting up a company as well as information about income tax for those who are self employed.
Video diaries are also following three people as they set up a business, explaining their experiences as they go along.
TV's Dan Snow, who presents the guides, said: "We've broken the information down into small video chunks, so that people can access exactly what they need to know," adding that it is hoped they will be "really useful for people and businesses".
Minister for London Tony McNulty recently urged small enterprises in the capital to take advantage of public sector contracts, noting that local knowledge can mean they offer better value for money.
