Energy improvements planned for property in Wimbledon
property in Wimbledon could be set for energy-efficient improvements, following the announcement of a study by Merton Council.
Homes across the borough are to be assessed, with the aim of identifying ways in which they can be enhanced.
According to the body, benefits could improve a reduction in heat loss as well as carbon dioxide, something that could interest those looking for flats to rent in Wimbledon.
David Simpson, cabinet member for the environment at Merton Council, explained that it is the latest in a series of steps being taken to tackle fuel poverty and other energy issues in the borough.
"We are always trying to put the needs of our residents first and this will enable us to advise them on how best to save money in these difficult economic times," he said.
The council and Transport for London recently revealed that a new bus lane is to be created, in order to improve access to Mitcham town centre.
