Crossrail station could come to Kensington and Chelsea residents
Britons who are looking for flats to rent in Kensington and Chelsea could find that they have the Crossrail right on their doorstep.
Proposals for a Crossrail station in West London could lead to the creation of thousands of new homes and jobs, councillors in Kensington and Chelsea have said.
This could include an increase in the number of flats to rent in Kensington and councillor Merrick Cockell, leader of Kensington and Borough Chelsea Council, claimed that the Crossrail is essential in the driving forward of regeneration and development in the area.
He stated that as well as creating new homes and employment opportunities, "the station itself would bring the whole of the capital within easy reach of our residents, who are currently poorly served by bus and train".
Individuals searching for property to rent in Kensington and Chelsea could find that with such a transport boost, they can extend their job search into the wider London area.
Crossrail recently announced that Network Rail has secured support for plans to link Crossrail services at Farringdon station with the new Thameslink.
