Chiswick property 'ideal for families'
It has been claimed that houses for sale in Chiswick are ideal for families, especially those with young children.
Nestled alongside an attractive stretch of the River Thames and with strong transport links throughout West London, Estate Agent Hamptons has said the area is an ideal place to settle down.
Commenting on the family appeal of Chiswick, which comes under the London borough of Hounslow, the Estate Agent suggested that the area affords an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
"Chiswick offers riverside living, open greens and good space for children," it stated, adding that Hampstead in North London has also proven popular with families given its abundance of parks.
However, experts note that the appeal of the two areas is reflected in local property values, with the average property price running to £609 per square foot (PSF) in Chiswick and £814 PSF in Hampstead.
For first-time buyers on a tighter budget, Hamptons recommended the South London areas of West Norwood, Crystal Palace and Brixton, where flat are widely available for under £400 PSF.
