Award for property in Tower Hamlets scheme
People looking for flats to rent in Tower Hamlets may be encouraged by a recent award handed out to the area's local authority.
Tower Hamlets Council's Homelessness and Housing Advice Service has been presented with the Customer Service Excellence standard, which highlights the department's quality, advice and professionalism.
Lead member for housing and development at Tower Hamlets Council Marc Francis called the accolade "fantastic", but suggested that councillors will try to improve the service further next year.
"It is always encouraging to have external recognition that the services we provide for local people are the best they can be," he said.
Residents of flats and house to rent in Tower Hamlets are currently being encouraged to find areas of the borough that could be in contention for a Tower Hamlets In Bloom award.
The council is also urging people to get involved in making the region a better place to live by planting more shrubbery in the streets of Tower Hamlets.
