Another reason to choose property to rent in Westminster
Flat hunters may have another reason to choose property to rent in Westminster.
This is because the council has approved plans to build a new theatre on the West End site where Westminster Theatre once stood.
A fire destroyed this particular playhouse, but residents of flats to rent in Westminster will be able to benefit from the new 314-seater venue in Palace Street.
New flats make up part of the development, as does a new restaurant.
Planning committee chairman councillor Robert Davis said: "The loss of this theatre was a sad day for the city, but I am confident these plans will give this historic site a new lease of life as a cultural hub in the heart of Victoria."
This comes after residents of property in London revealed to Transport for London last month that they were more satisfied with the London Underground than ever before.
