'Plenty of ways' for tenants to go green

There are plenty of ways that both homeowners and rental tenants can reduce their carbon emissions in order to meet next year's 10:10 campaign, one newspaper has asserted.

Organised by the Age of Stupid, the scheme is urging Britons and businesses to pledge to reduce their energy use by ten per cent next year in order to reduce the scale of climate change, along with carbon emissions.

And the Guardian has claimed that there are a number of simple ways by which this could be achieved.

Britons who have found property to rent in Hammersmith or other parts on London have been advised to use their cars less - which may be easily achievable as the capital prepares to introduce a bicycle hire scheme.

The Guardian continues that reducing gas consumption, fitting an energy monitor and shopping at second hand clothes stores are all ways that Londoners can reduce their energy consumption.

According to the Energy Saving Trust, simply turning off electrical equipment can help Britons to cut their carbon emissions, along with their energy bills.
