Hammersmith tenants 'can hear from their leaders'

Hammersmith tenants 'can hear from their leaders'Residents of flats to rent in Hammersmith will be able to question their local council, health, police and fire leaders during the first "Quiz the Leaders" meeting there chaired by the BBC's John Humphrys.

Mr Humphrys, who is also a borough resident, will lead what is bound to be a lively debate about some of the big issues affecting the borough, according to the Hammersmith and Fulham (H&F) Council website.

The panel includes H&F Council leader councillor Stephen Greenhalgh, NHS Hammersmith & Fulham chairman Jeff Zitron, Detective Superintendent Steve Cassidy and borough fire commander Steve Lumb, the council said in a press release.

"Quiz the Leaders" will run from 19:00 to 20:30 GMT next Tuesday with a further half an hour afterwards when local authorities will be available to discuss with the public any individual issues they have relating to the area, which is currently experiencing rapid growth in property valuations.

"There are some big issues facing our borough and this gives everybody the chance to hear from the leaders about how we are tackling these," said Mr Greenhalgh.
