Free training session for London estate agents

London Estate Agents stand to benefit from a new walk-in training session that aims to increase awareness of market trends and government thinking.

The South East London Housing Partnership is running the tutorial, which offer guidance on all issues affecting London Letting Agents from local housing allowances to energy issues.

A series of presentations will be given by Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lewisham and Southwark Councils, while several regulatory and industry bodies will also have a presence at the event.

These include the London Fire Brigade, Housing Associations, Energy Savings Trust, residential property Tribunal, Lacors and various other groups.

Environmental issues are expected to be at the forefront of the session's discussions, with Landlords receiving guidance about the impact of the recently-introduced Energy Performance Certificates.

The government has identified improving energy efficiency as being one of its key medium-term goals, pledging to make all new homes zero carbon by 2016.
