Free swimming for people living in property in Bethnal Green

Those living in property in Bethnal Green are being encouraged to take up a more active lifestyle through a new council initiative.

From next week, swimming pools across Tower Hamlets will offer free swims on Fridays.

The measure could prompt those looking for flats to rent to consider contacting Letting Agents in Bethnal Green, as they may be able to benefit from the service.

Mark Sesnan, managing director of Greenwich Leisure Limited - the council's not-for-profit leisure operator - explained that the offering would benefit swimmers of all abilities.

"Not only is swimming an essential life skill, but also a social and healthy recreational activity that can be enjoyed by all members of the family regardless of age or fitness level," he added.

Children at Oaklands Secondary School in Bethnal Green were recently given a demonstration of what goes into fast food, in a council effort to encourage healthier eating.
