Energy-efficient boost for those choosing flats to rent in Hampstead
Residents of flats to rent in Hampstead are set to benefit as a result of a Camden Council scheme to improve the energy efficiency of homes.
The local authority has announced that an additional £1.15 million is being made available to insulate private homes.
It is intended to help residents lower their fuel bills, with Camden Council estimating that over £200 could be saved by each household every year.
Executive member for environment Chris Knight also noted that the environment may be improved as a result of reduced carbon dioxide emissions.
"We encourage everyone to get in touch and we'll help make sure they are getting all the support they need to go green at home," he said, adding that the measure will make doing so "easy and affordable" for people across the borough.
property in Camden dropped in value by more than any other London borough in February, according to recent Land Registry figures.
