Bromley residents experiencing 'best quality of life in London'
The borough of Bromley has been found to be the best place in London to live.
A survey by Halifax has revealed that this is the area with the highest quality of life - based on factors including environment, education and health.
Of the more than 400 local authorities analysed across the UK, Bromley was 56th.
Residents were found to be benefiting from a long life expectancy, as well as good GCSE results and high average earnings.
And the capital as a whole scored highly on emissions, with six of the ten areas with the lowest carbon dioxide output per person being located in London.
The borough of Tower Hamlets scored best in the country for this factor.
However, the average house price in Bromley was found to be well above the national figure at £287,606 - suggesting those hoping to live in the borough may prefer to rent.
Last week Bromley was among the London boroughs praised by Ofsted for its excellent education provision.
